All Services Cancelled
Every Sunday until April 1, 2020
At a news conference yesterday, Governor Cooper gave North Carolinians specific directions regarding limiting the spread of COVID-19. In those directions the Governor called for the cancellation or postponement of all public gatherings over 100 people.
We believe Christ's call for us to love our neighbors and to be subject to the governing authorities oblige us to suspend all church activities for the remainder of the month of March. We will be livestreaming our Sunday services at the regularly scheduled times via biblebaptistministries.org. All other activities and services, including ABS/Sunday school and Wednesday Prayer Service/AWANA, are cancelled through the rest of the month.
Though the situation is still very fluid, current plans are to resume all services and activities on Sunday, April 5, with one exception. Given Pastor Brenneman's accident and the uncertainty of the virus, we have cancelled our egg hunt for this year. We plan to replace it with another outreach opportunity. At the present time, the school and preschool continue to be in session, though the situation is very fluid. We will keep you informed should there be any changes to our church and school schedules.
If you have made connections with some of our guests who have been visiting Bible, please contact them to inform them of these changes, since they may not receive this communication. Please stay connected with our church family, especially our senior citizens, through phone, email, or social media. Also, the church office will be open during the week if you would like to drop your weekly offering by the church or you may mail it to the church c/o the business office.
Thankfully, the God we serve rules over all things, from the coronavirus to the stock market. Psalm 93 reminds us, The Lord reigneth. Psalm 91 tells us the Most High shelters those who come to Him and spreads mighty wings of refuge over all who seek Him. Please continue to pray for our community and our world and all those impacted by the coronavirus. Our confidence is in the Lord.
