Bible Baptist Church

On June 28, Bible Baptist Church celebrated its 40th anniversary of “proclaiming the Word to the world.”   The church’s 2009 theme, “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”, was emphasized through our songs and special music as we reflected on God’s great faithfulness to us.  Dr. Ron Comfort, Chancellor of Ambassador Baptist College, was the special guest speaker for both our morning and afternoon services.  In the morning service, Dr. Comfort gave a powerful and clear presentation of the Gospel, and in the afternoon service the Lord used him to stir our hearts in the matter of personal soulwinning.  Many came forward to renew their commitment to give the gospel to lost souls.  We also had the privilege of giving special recognition to Pastor Charles Arrowood, founding pastor, and Dr. James Phillips, pastor from 1978-99, for their years of ministry at Bible Baptist Church and had the privilege of having both of them in our services. We also took time in the service to recognize the 50+ individuals who have been a faithful part of the ministry for 25 years or more. Following the morning service we enjoyed wonderful fellowship over a delicious lunch in the gym. A DVD presentation in the afternoon service helped us reflect on God's blessing in the ministry over these 40 years. It was obvious to all that God was glorified through the special services of our 40th anniversary for His great faithfulness to us!
